FIU Online instructors interested in enhancing an existing fully online course to meet Quality Matters standards can opt into a guided course enhancement experience by completing the form below. You will be partnered with an instructional designer who will support you throughout the development process, from planning through course review.
Note: Instructors with expired QM- or HQ-certified courses may also opt in to have their courses re-evaluated for re-certification and continued alignment with Quality Matters standards.
Opt-In Commitments
By opting into this process, you are joining a collaborative course enhancement experience focused on creating a high-quality learning environment for your students. You will be partnered with an instructional designer who will guide and support you throughout the entire development cycle.
The process typically begins 12 to 16 weeks before the start of the semester and continues through the end of the semester. Along the way, you and your instructional designer will meet regularly, with a minimum of three meetings required to ensure steady progress and a successful partnership.
Courses participating in this enhancement process will be submitted for review with the goal of achieving Quality Matters standards by the end of the opt-in semester.
